Store Employee Charged with Theft of Lottery Tickets and Cash

(KATV - Source Baxter County Sheriff's Office) - On Monday, June 13, 2011, Raymond Brooks Moore, 26 of Midway, Arkansas, was taken into custody and charged with Theft of Property, a Class C Felony.

Baxter County Deputies responded to the Tri-Angle Station in Midway to a reported theft of Cash and Lottery Tickets.

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect was employed by the Tri-angle Station and was on duty and working at the time of the thefts.

A review of the in-store surveillance system by Sheriff's Investigators revealed the suspect had taken cash from the register, food, and lottery ticket's money drawers.

The suspect, Raymond Brooks Moore was taken to the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division for an interview, that's when he admitted to taking the items.

At this time the amount of the theft is estimated at $5,000. The investigation is on-going.

Raymond Brooks Moore is charged with Theft of Property, a Class C Felony.

He was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on bond of $7,000 pending his appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court on June 23.
