The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles clinched at lead a share of its 14th consecutive Summit League regular season championship and the Summit's No. 1 seed for next weekend's tournament with a 12-2 run rule win over Southern Utah on Friday afternoon. The game was stopped after seven innings.
ORU's Drew Bowen threw a complete game striking out ten and the Golden Eagle offense gave him plenty of support early with four runs in the first and five more in the second inning.
The game was delayed by lightning and rain in the middle of the fourth inning for an hour and eight minutes.
Oral Roberts closes out the regular season tomorrow at 11:30 and a win over Southern Utah would give them the outright title.
