
(KATV) The death toll from severe weather in Arkansas since April 25th has risen to 17.
A Randolph County woman is the latest victim of the recent floods. Officials recovered the body of 31-year-old Jana Chastain Saturday not far from her 2003 Lincoln Aviator which was found in floodwaters near Hwy 67 between Pocahontas and Lawrence County line.
When police found her car, they say only about 8 inches of her SUV was above the water.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Chastain had a tire fixed in Sedgwick around 2:30 the morning she disappeared.
