A two hour rain delay could not derail the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles Friday night.
ORU took game one of the four game road series 7-5, thanks to two home runs from OF Nick Baligod.
Oakland made it interesting in the ninth inning, scoring three runs to cut the deficit to just two runs. The Golden Grizzlies brought the winning run to the plate, but ORU pitcher Joe Spring got the third out to end the game.
Saturday features a double-header between the two teams, beginning at 11am.
