Brandon King went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs to help Oral Roberts to a 7-2 victory over IPFW Sunday in the finale of a four-game weekend series at J.L. Johnston Stadium.
Sunday's game was delayed by rain for three hours.
The Golden Eagles (22-17 overall, 11-5 Summit League) led 2-1 in the fifth when King lined a two-run single to left that provided the game-winning runs.
ORU added three more runs in the eighth to seal the victory. Brett Sowers had the big hit, driving in two with a double to left.
Four Oral Roberts pitchers combined to hold the Mastodons to six hits while striking out 12 batters. Dan Martony (2-0) got the win, pitching the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, allowing one run on three hits.
Jason Stacy picked up his first save, pitching the eighth and ninth, allowing one run on three hits.
With the win, ORU stays within two games of first place South Dakota State. The Golden Eagles will play a four-game series against Oakland beginning Friday in Rochester, Michigan.
