KATV Channel 7 - The Spirit of Arkansas: Postal Rates to Increase

The price of postage is going up again.

The U.S. Postal Service says starting Sunday, mailing costs for parcels and magazines will increase.

International postage rates will also rise, and the price of postcard stamps will go up by a penny.

One thing that won't change -- first-class stamps for letters under one ounce will remain at 44 cents.

The USPS is trying to recover from an eight-and-a-half-billion-dollar loss last year.
