Joe Spring combined with three other pitchers on a four hitter as Oral Roberts completed a four-game series sweep of Centenary with a 3-1 win Sunday at J.L. Johnson Stadium in Tulsa.
ORU (15-11 overall, 4-0 Summit League) broke up a scoreless tie in the fourth when Chris Elder doubled and scored on a single by T.J. Bennett.
Centenary tied the score in the sixth on an RBI double by Kyle Morton, but the Golden Eagles took the lead for good in the bottom of the inning when Nick Baligod led off with a double and later scored on Brandon King's single to left field.
ORU would tack on an insurance run in the eighth on Brett Sowers' single that scored Bennett from second.
Spring got the win, allowing one run on three hits in six innings. Matt Rush earned his fifth save, retiring the final two batters.
ORU has now won six straight games and will next travel to Macomb, Illinois for a weekend four-game series against Western Illinois. The first game is Friday at 3:30 p.m.
