
Nick Baligod went 4-for-4 with four runs batted in as Oral Roberts opened Summit League play with an 11-1, run-rule rout of visiting Centenary Friday at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
The Golden Eagles (12-11 overall, 1-0 Summit League) pounded out 13 hits against the Gents, including four during a six-run second inning that blew the game open.
ORU reliever Tyler Sparks improved to 2-0 on the season, allowing one run on three hits in three innings of work. He also struck out four batters.
The Golden Eagles have won three straight and four of their last five and will continue their series with Centenary with game two Saturday at 2 p.m.
