Sherwood FD Cancels April Fire Hydrant Testing

For immediate release:Sherwood Fire Department cancels April fire hydrant testing

SHERWOOD — The Sherwood Fire Department has cancelled the fire hydrant testing that the department had scheduled for April 9-17, 2011. The Fire Department and Central Arkansas Water (CAW) conduct twice-a-year testing in compliance with the district's Class 2 fire insurance rating. CAW has conducted this year's first phase of testing. CAW and the FireDepartment are jointly responsible for the maintenance of public fire hydrants servingSherwood, Brushy Island, and Sylvan Hills.
