
WHAT: A sculpture at the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) symbolizing hope for the improved health care of all Arkansans will be dedicated in memory of longtime Arkansas legislator Sen. Jerry Bookout, along with dedication of the Bookout Translational Research Center.

Use valet parking in the Cancer Institute's circle drive, located on Jack Stephens Drive.
WHY: Bookout, who spent 34 years as an Arkansas representative and senator, served many years on legislative committees dealing with health care and education. He died of lymphoma in 2006.
