Katherina-Marie Yancy

Katherina-Marie Yancy is an award winning general assignment reporter for Channel 7 news. She was born in Hattiesburg, Miss., but has considered Little Rock home since she was 6-years-old.

Katherina has worked in the Little Rock market since 2006, specializing in the growing field of Multi-Media Journalism: Equipped with a high-definition camera and a laptop computer with wireless and editing capabilities, Katherina can hit the road and capture breaking news from anywhere in the Natural State.

Katherina's interest in broadcast began at the age of 15 when she hosted the national show "We R Tomorrow R U?" for three years. In 2000, her mom, Maura-Lozano Yancy began publishing "Hola! Arkansas," a bilingual newspaper. Katherina worked for the newspaper as the assistant to the publisher for six years.

As a student at UALR, Katherina hosted, edited and produced the weekly shows "Single in the City," and the Spanish language UNIVISION show "De Todo Un Poco."

Katherina and her husband live in Little Rock and enjoy spending time with family, friends and their English Bulldog, Sir "Beefy" Face.

In her spare time, you can catch her on the golf course, shoe shopping--and as the passenger on her husband's motorcycle traveling across Arkansas enjoying the outdoors.
