A surge in car break-ins in Conway.
There have been 51 breaking and entering reports this month alone. Officers say 45 percent of this year's reports have been for cars that were left unlocked and many more where purses, wallets or electronics were left in plain view.
Police say the easiest way to protect yourself is to lock your doors, always take valuables with you and don't be afraid to call police if you see something suspicious.
"If you're in a parking lot," said Chris Harris of Conway Police, "you're going to notice someone walking through the parking lot, grabbing door handles, peeking in cars. It may be something, it may be nothing but that's what we're here for."
You can reach Conway PD at (501) 450-6120.
