Posted: Updated:

A Bigelow man died Tuesday from injuries suffered during a two-car accident on Prince Street in Conway.

According to the Pulaski County Coroner's Office, Michael Leger, 51, died Tuesday evening in a Little Rock hospital.

According to police reports, Leger struck the back of a pick-up truck with his motorcycle Monday afternoon. The driver of the truck stated that he was traveling west on Prince Street and had slowed down to turn right into the Chapel Creek subdivision when he "heard a loud bang and a bump from behind."

The driver said he saw a man on a motorcycle falling forward. Once he completed the turn and got out of his vehicle, the driver said that he saw the man "lying on the pavement bleeding from a head wound." The driver of the truck told officers he turned his right blinker on before making the turn.

According to the driver, Leger was not wearing a helmet.

Leger was transported to Conway Regional Medical Center following the accident. He was later transported to Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
