The Tulsa Shock returned home from a three game road swing, but things didn't get better as the defending WNBA champion Phoenix Mercury handed the shock a 32-point home court loss Thursday night.
It was a close game early before a 9-0 Phoenix run made it 22-11. The Mercury added a 10-0 run over a three minute span in the second quarter and a 12-0 run later in the second to lead 67-41 at halftime.
Tulsa shot just 42 percent from the field and committed 18 turnovers while Phoenix shot 57-percent.
Kara Braxton led Tulsa (4-18) with 18 points. Shanna Crossley had 12, Jennifer Lacy scored 11 and Ivory Latta and Amber Holt each scored ten.
Diana Taurasi scored 26 to lead Phoenix.
The Shock will next play Sunday at Seattle.
