This appetizer is typically served with high-fat bacon. This lighter version still has a wonderful taste with a fraction of the fat and calories!

Makes ~16 servings

Ingredients:

1 medium honeydew melon, cut in half and seeded
1 medium cantaloupe melon, cut in half and seeded
4 oz. thinly sliced lean ham, visible fat removed
4 oz. thinly sliced turkey

Dipping Sauce
1/4 cup spicy brown mustard
2 T honey
10 fresh mint leaves, chopped

Using the large side of a melon-baller, make balls from the melons; set aside.

Cut the ham and turkey into 4 x 1-inch strips. Wrap each melon ball in either a strip of ham or turkey and skewer with a toothpick.

In a small bowl, combine sauce ingredients. Serve with wrapped melon balls.
