Popular Fort Smith Air Show Canceled

A news release from the fighter wing says that "scheduling conflicts" combined with an arduous training and inspection schedule during the next year led officials to cancel the show.
The show had been scheduled for June 26 and 27. In 2008, the show held at Fort Smith Regional Airport drew about 200,000 spectators.
The 188th Fighter Wing is scheduled for an upcoming rotation in Afghanistan in the spring, with about 300 personnel being deployed.
