Tahlequah, OK - Authorities say two Arkansas teenagers were killed in an accident on a Cherokee County road in Oklahoma.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Cori Alsip and 18-year-old Leandra Bowling died of head injuries at the scene of the accident near Tahlequah around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Troopers say Alsip was driving south at a high rate of speed and wasn't aware the road was about to turn. The vehicle left the road to the right, traveled back onto it and left again before striking an embankment.
The patrol says the truck overturned, throwing Alsip, of Gravett, and Bowling, of Siloam Springs, and two others out.
Zackariah Free and Cody Welch, both 19 of Siloam Springs, were treated at a Tahlequah hospital and released.
Troopers say none of the occupants wore seat belts.
