Conway - The Department of Veterans Affairs says it will open two new outpatient clinics in Arkansas.
The agency said Thursday the clinics will be in Faulkner and Pope counties. The clinics are among 31 new facilities the VA is opening.
The VA says the clinics will help with preventative care and will enable patients to have closer relationships with their health care professionals, particularly patients with chronic illnesses.
No opening dates for the Arkansas clinics were announced, but the VA says the 31 clinics will come on line in 2009 and 2010.
