Pine Bluff - Taylor Memorial Field in Pine Bluff is among 34 properties across the state being considered for nomination for the National Register of Historic Places.
The State Review Board of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program will meet Wednesday in Little Rock to consider the properties.
Located along 16th Avenue in downtown Pine Bluff, Taylor Field was built in 1939 as part of the federal Works Progress Administration.
The home field of the Pine Bluff High School Zebras baseball team, the field was home to the semipro Pine Bluff Judges and Cardinals of the Cotton States League in the 1940s and 1950s.
Lamar Porter Field in Little Rock is currently the only baseball field in Arkansas on the register.
