Little Rock - The Arkansas State Police have launched a criminal probe into an Ozark police officer's use of a stun gun on a 10-year-old girl.
State police spokesman Bill Sadler said Tuesday the criminal investigation was launched at the request of Prosecuting Attorney David Gibbons.
Ozark police officer Dustin Bradshaw was suspended with pay last week as a result of the Nov. 11 incident. His report indicates he went to the Ozark home after receiving a call about a domestic disturbance. He acknowledged in the report using the Taser on the girl after she kicked him in the groin. Gibbons requested the probe last week on behalf of Ozark Police Chief Jim Noggle and Mayor Vernon McDaniel, who had asked the agency to investigate.
