Hot Springs - Authorities have shot and killed a suspect in the deaths of five people found shot to death earlier this month in Pearcy.
Channel 7 News has learned investigators received information on a suspect from a house fire and homicides in the county last week. The Garland County Tactical Response Team, as well as officers from the State Police, Hot Springs Police Department and F.B.I. responded to the National Park Inn at 1125 E Grand Avenue to take him into custody. Lieutenant James Martin with the Garland County Sheriff's Department says the suspect began firing on officers, so they returned fire, killing him.
Four bodies were found early Nov. 12 in the rubble of a burned out mobile home in Pearcy and the body of a man was found in a home next door.
We will have more details later today on Live at 5.
