Fayetteville - The administration director of the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Division wants everyone who serves or sells alcohol to receive training.
Michael Langley says he hopes to start the training program in July and have all servers in the state trained and certified within 18 months. He says the servers will be taught to recognize fake identification cards and to know when a customer has had too much to drink.
He says current state alcohol rules require that the person who holds a liquor permit be trained regarding service, but not the person who actually serves the drinks.
The program will first be tested first in Fayetteville, Little Rock and a city yet to be determined.
