Pine Bluff - Pine Bluff officials are investigating the 13th homicide of 2009.
Officers found Ken Brown lying in the yard outside 612 N Myrtle Street around 7:15 Friday night suffering from a single gunshot wound to the cheset. Jefferson County Coroner David Westbrook pronounced Mr. Brown dead at the scene.
Police have already arrested 27 year old Cory Oneil in connection to this murder, claiming he fired one round from a 9mm semi-automatic handgun through the open driver's side window of his grey Cadillac while it was parked in the driveway of the home. Brown and Oneil were reportedly arguing over money and car rims, and Oneil was at the scene of the shooting when officers arrived. He was arrested without incident.
Oneil is being held on probably cause for first degree murder, and is being held at the Jefferson County Detention Facility pending formal charges.
