Little Rock - A former employee of a Jacksonville daycare center has been arrested on arson and child-endangerment charges for a fire at the center while children were napping.
Documents filed in Jacksonville District Court say 24-year-old Darlene Ann Kostyk of Sherwood faces a misdemeanor count of arson and 16 felony counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor. The fire on October 20th was in a heating duct and caused $400 to $500 in damage.
No injuries were reported.
Kostyk is free on bond. It was not clear whether she had an attorney.
Police say other employees at Kareer Kids daycare said Kostyk "had been disgruntled" because of complaints parents had filed against her.
An employee at the day care said no one was available for comment Wednesday night.
