Little Rock - Arkansas House members are meeting at the Capitol to vote on a series of rules changes to prepare for annual sessions.
The 100-member House planned to vote Wednesday on a set of changes to the rules governing the legislative chamber. Most of the changes are aimed are adjusting to an amendment that requires the Legislature to meet annually, instead of every other year.
A group of Republican lawmakers say they plan to propose more changes that they say will make the House business more transparent. They include a proposal making it easier to require written votes before committees and a measure that would lengthen the time before a bill approved by a committee could go before the full House for a vote.
