Arkadelphia - Arkadelphia police say three people have been arrested following a shots-fired call on the Ouachita Baptist University campus Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities say the incident occurred near the edge of the OBU campus at University and 8th Streets. According to the Arkadelphia police chief, one shot was fired at a group of students headed to a nearby dormitory. No one was hit by the gunshot.
Police say three individuals in a sliver Mitsubishi fled the scene, but the vehicle was stopped a short time later. All three occupants were taken into custody. Police also seized a handgun from inside the vehicle. It’s currently unknown if the three suspects were students at either OBU or nearby Henderson State University.
