As always, kids got their fill of sugar and sweets, but some of them tricked or treated in non-traditional ways.
More and more people are forgoing the traditional trick or treating style of knocking on random people's doors out of safety concerns.
Instead they are participating in neighborhood block parties or events like Boo at the Zoo.
It was a night of supermen, storm troopers, and cowboys. When make believe fire fighters get to meet their heros. As fun as Halloween is, it's also a night when parents worry about their children's safety.
David Palmer and his wife organized a block party Halloween celebration in their west Little Rock neighborhood, blocking off their street, passing out candy and creating their own hay ride.
Across town at the Little Rock Zoo, hundreds of people enjoyed boo at the zoo, an annual event where kids can safely trick or treat, a comforting thought to Twanna and Glen Johnson who brought their son.
Police remind everyone to look through their children's candy. If you see anything suspicious you can call your local police department.
