More corn made less feed for beef and chicken, ethonal is very expensive to make, higher fuel makes food prices rise. all because of liberal thinking. thank you senators for always rejecting less dependance on foriegn oil. thanks you for the Globalwarming farse and thank you libs for soon to be 4.00 a gallon gas. Oil production will always go up globally no matter how much we conserve. we should conserve for our own personal financial reasons and not to reduce oil production because it aint going to happen. China and India will be glad to use the cheap oil we dont while we're trying to squeeze gas out of an ear of corn. we can always eat freaking corn because next year it'll be running out our ears.

Christy Crowder, you know nothing about anyone, so quit pretending you do. Your nose is stuck so far in the air, I'm surprised a bird hasn't come along and crapped on it yet. There are alot of us that are one paycheck away from homelessness. That has nothing to do with "choices." How low you must assume parents are for "choosing" to starve thier families. Most do not. Have you noticed that things from gas to rent is going up but our paychecks are not? Food banks are low because more and more families are finding themselves in this particular situation. Have some compassion for someone else besides yourself for once, it's the season for not being a selfish troll.

The economy is crap, more and more people with jobs cant make ends meet and you have people on here being judgmental. Good grief open your eyes poverty is everywhere in Arkansas. Who cares if a few people take advantage. It is a drop in the bucket compared to the true needy and may I say great people of this state that deserve our help. Im not much of a church goer but I do know that one of Gods greatest teachings is to help those less fortunate and not to judge. If more Christians followed this the need wouldnt be nearly what it is.

Your spewing about those bad seeds takes away from the hundred or thousands that really do need help.The government and politicians beat us down regularly for our money, then turn around and help millions of people outside the U.S. They do help people here too but most of those people have family that pays enough taxes, that if they would have allowed them to put that tax money on the side, they could help their own family. So save your senseless post and go donate some cans and clothes. You people need to quit being so mean and hateful and thinking your better than others.

What a stupid thing to say! Like Christy stated, "nobody in America goes hungry unless its by choice". I had a conversation, yesterday with a man, that told me that he knows people who go to the annual Thanksgiving feed at the Hall of Industry, who have jobs and can certainly afford to feed their families. They are just taking advantage of these people's good will. It made me wonder just how many out there do the same thing. This may account for why these local Food Banks are so low on food to give away. This might be occurring there too. JMO
