With or without Houston, Arkansas will be unable to successfully recruit against LSU, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee. Therefore, I'm not sure changing the head coach will have much of an affect.

This news to me, I didn't even know the Razorbacks had a head coach, I thought Frank was running everything, by watching them play it's the same way he coached, pass on first down, then run on second and third down, the entire SEC knows how we are going to play, that's why they said Audurn couldn't defend against the run, well if Auburn knows what your going to do every down, it not hard to defend against it, the only time we scored is when we mixed it up and they didn't know what was coming, you don't believe me , look at the games Frank coached and look at the games now, NO Difference

Coach Nutt is a great coach, however let's remember he has not played a down of football in years, it's the players that perform. Note: if you don't have the players you will never be able to gain victory or perform at the same level as Ohio State, Oregan LSU. You never get big time players because they know what the Razorbacks are all about 3 plays up the middle that is it. The razorbacks will never re-gain it's big football status until we get the players. Let's get off Houston Nutts case hell he can only work with what he has. If you guys are looking for some good football with little drama then you could look to the center of the state. UCA is playing for a share of the Southland conference championship after only a year in the conference. Good football is easy to find and cheaper than driving to Fayetteville to see Houston run the ball up the middle. Now if he does leave and you still wanna save some money and get to see a Champion caliber team then cheer on those purple bears and a coach that everyone likes, a coach who even has the pilots in Arkansas supporting him.

He is a proven winner and recruiter. Houston Nutt is a good coach but not the coach that can take the Hogs to the next level. We have to get a coach that can put a team on the field that can compete with the teams in the SEC year in and year out. Playing against community college teams to pad your record does not get the job done. The SEC is THE toughest conference in the nation. We need someone like Jimmy Johnson to get the job done.

RazorbackFanatic, you really have no clue. First of all, Nutt is a man of very good character. That may be his downfall. He's a nice guy who loves his players and they love him. He may have misunderstood his position of HEAD Coach (he may have been under the impression that that means he calls the shots or something) but that doesn't make him a man of poor character.

Secondly, the COACHES of the SEC (not wanna-be armchair coaches like yourself) voted him SEC COACH OF THE YEAR last year. Did you realize that when you made your ignorant comment about him being a "medicore" (sic) coach? Apparently not.

I have a few things to get off my mind. First, to the haters you need to go back under the rock you came out from under. Rumors and gossip do nothing but hurt people and that is exactly what all the rumors have done, not just to Houston but the players and his family. Second, if he does leave, I too will buy a plan and have a baner made that says, "Houston we have a problem the new coach went 2 -10 in his first season." I'll leave you with something to think about. Ok Houston may be gone after the season is over and Arkansas starts its search for his replacement. What will you haters say when they pay someone 3 mil a year and the new coach averages 5-6 wins in his firs 2 - 3 seasons? What are you gonna say then?

I can't believe this made the news. This is so embarassing for Arkansas. Here we go again...

I certainly hope that this is not just a rumor! We have had to live with this high school type coach for far to long. I actually thought last year, that we had a team that could make it into the Top 10 and compete on the highest level in the SEC. Turns out, we did! But we didn't have a major college level coach to go with it. I should have known he would find a way to screw things up. As soon as he pulled Mustain and took over the play calling, I knew we were doomed. Sure enough, it all went down hill from there. Hiring David Lee, was another bad sign, because it was obvious that Houston was going to continue to make the offensive decisions with that hire. David Lee was about to be let go by the Cowboys and Nutt knew this. "Pride comes before the fall". I think the chance of getting Jimmy Johnson as some have suggested, is nil and none. It would tickle me if they brought Malzahn back as head coach. He is another offensive genius. But, I'm sure the search committee will look for a proven major college coach, with a proven winning record. Nothing else will satisfy the Razorback fans. JMO

HDN, thank you for all the good things you have accomplished at UAF. The not-so-good will soon fade from our memories. I think you sincerely love this small, wonderful state and your home town--Little Rock. However, I think it is time, or past time for you to move along. I wish you the best.

turn out the lights the partys over they say all good things must end. let smu have him, although i dont wish that on anyone. never was a mustain fan and dont think he wil be a great qb, but he was our best option and he ran him off, williams will never be anything but a TO wannabe, but he would have helped and he ran him off. its about time that the people who fill the stands finally got heard. i bet he really opens up the play book tomorrow just so he can say "see what i can do against another average team"
