It's official--Senator Hillary Clinton will be on Arkansas' presidential primary ballot in February.
Clinton supporters joined the Senator's state campaign chairman, Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, at the state capitol Wednesday morning to file the proper papers.
(Dustin McDaniel, Arkansas Attorney General) "It's one great step towards making sure the people of Arkansas know we are serious, we are here, we are on the ballot. We are going to win Arkansas in the primary, and we're going to win Arkansas in the fall."
In all, seven candidates have filed to be on the Arkansas ballot. Democrats John Edwards, Bill Richardson and Barack Obama filed Wednesday, along with Clinton.
Republicans John McCain, Ron Paul and Fred Thompson have also filed.
There’s been no word on when Huckabee will file, but the deadline is Monday at noon. Romney is expected to file on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Huckabee continues to gain momentum in Iowa. A new CBS/New York Times poll puts the former governor in second place in Iowa, just behind Mitt Romney, but ahead of former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani.
Huckabee responded to the poll in a statement, saying, "Iowa Republicans are looking beyond my campaign budget and are relating to my values and where I stand on important issues."
