Grady Gets U.S. 65 Bypass

The state Highway and Transportation Department said the new U.S. 65 bypass around Grady would open at mid-morning Wednesday. A news release from the agency said two-way traffic that has been using the two lanes built to handle northbound vehicles would be split, with southbound traffic moved to newly finished lanes.
The release said the speed limit through the area would be 55 mph for a few weeks until the contractor completes work alongside the new road, and the limit is raised to 65 mph.

I bet those punk cops in Grady will be running a speed trap at the 55/65 section just like they used to do in town.
