Forrest City - The circuit clerk for St. Francis County says Judge L.T. Simes (SIMZ) is presiding over the capital-murder trial of a Lee County man accused of killing Marianna Fire Chief Chuck Boone.

Circuit Clerk Bette Green said jury selection in the trial of Steve Amos began Monday morning at the county courthouse in Forrest City. She said Simes plans to seat 12 jurors and three alternates.

The 43-year-old Boone was killed Dec. 30, 2007, at a home Amos shared with his estranged wife, Patti Amos, on Arkansas 1 south of Marianna. After Boone was killed, Amos reportedly held his estranged wife captive for several hours.

It's one thing to "grab" headlines to get attention, but news media have a problem in telling "the rest of the story" and following through on what happens to these headlines...Just FYI Steve Amos was all over the news.....but now that he's been found "not guilty" on ALL counts......there is absolutely nothing to be found.  But Justice was found in THIS case and people have a right to hear "the rest of the story"....thanks.
