The Otter Creek Homeowner's Association is offering a $10,000 reward to help solve the murder of an employee found dead in the clubhouse Tuesday.

Police say 30-year-old Amy Hancock of Alexander was found shot to death in the clubhouse office. Her 2006 Jeep Liberty that police believe was stolen turned up abandoned Tuesday night in North Little Rock.

Police are now processing the vehicle for evidence, and are also reviewing surveillance video from the clubhouse and entrance to the Otter Creek neighborhood.

Meanwhile, neighbors say they are keeping their doors locked, and hope an arrest is made soon.

(Sherri Kamphausen, Otter Creek Resident) “I don't know what the motive was. You wonder was it just to steal a car? You don't know if this was just random, or if they could show up at your door.”

The Otter Creek Board of Directors scheduled an emergency town hall meeting for residents Wednesday night.

LRPhoto,

It seems to me that the people in the community of Otter Creek are coming together to grieve the loss of one of their own and discuss how it may affect others and what to do to help prevent it from happening again.  Are you suggesting that the government should force the people in other communities in Little Rock that experience violence to stand up and do the same.  If you don't have the motivation as community members (be you black or white or whatever) to come together and do that, I don't think the government can force you to do it.  You are expecting someone else to do what only you can do.  What else is new?
