Arkansas' newest recording studios are located—of all places—in a quiet neighborhood in Bryant.

(James Ballew, Co-Owner/Marketing Director) “We can do anything in this studio that any studio in the country that would record any big national act--we can do it right here in Bryant, Arkansas. And we can do it for Little Rock-affordable rates.”

Pure Sound Recording Studios was opened by James Ballew and the former drummer and touring musician for bands such as 17th Floor, TLC, and Usher.

(Greg Thompson, Co-Owner/First Engineer) “Twenty years on the road, I wanted to come off and kind of settle down. I have a daughter, and my wife and I wanted slow down, settle down and get into the regular for a little bit.”

With every room designed specifically for sound, this state of the art recording studio is all about quality.

(Thompson) “I really care about what the product is. A lot of people are trying to get your money, get your studio time--but I come from an artist background, and I really don't want you to leave here with your project not sounding good.”

Anyone can use the space--from local up-and-coming musicians, to well-known national acts.

(Thompson) “There's a lot of musicians in Arkansas. There's a lot of music that the world doesn't know about, and hopefully we can expose the world to what's going on here in Arkansas. From hip-hop to country to bluegrass, to all the music that's here.”
