Among reports recently generated by local law enforcement agencies:

1. Aggravated robbery at 2300 block of Tyler Street (Gatling Park). An officer responding to a report of shots fired near Gatling Park at about 3 a.m. Saturday made contact with a 19-year-old man walking along Tyler Street. The man immediately told the officer that he had been kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint. He had been at an event hosted by UCA's Kappa Alpha Psi at the Arkansas National Guard Selby-Ross Readiness Center (commonly known as the armory), he told the officer, when a man with a gun approached him and told him to get into a green Nissan Maxima with two other males. The man did as he was told, and was driven to Gatling Park, where a kidnapper pointed a semi-automatic pistol at him and demanded his money. $1,800 and a cell phone were taken and the kidnappers left him there. As they drove away, he said, one of them fired twice into the air. Several witnesses also reported shots fired in Gatling Park at about 8:45 Sunday night, possibly coming from a group of people at the park's basketball court.

2. Criminal mischief at 309 Exchange Ave. (Snap-On Equipment). Snap-On management contacted police Saturday morning to complain that some who apparently were in the area for the nearby Kappa Alpha Psi event at the Selby-Ross Readiness Center had used the business's parking lot "as a trash can." Police found beer cans, broken liquor bottles and what was described in a report as "several used condoms" littering the parking lot.

3. Disturbance at 300 Exchange Ave. (Selby-Ross Readiness Center). Officers providing off-duty security at the Kappa Alpha Psi event were alerted to what is described in a report as "a large fight inside the building" at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday. A group of about 50 partygoers were observed pushing each other and, according to the report, "throwing up gang signs." A few individuals were identified as key instigators and escorted off the property.

4. Hit and run accident/DWI at South German Lane and Robins Street. Police responded to a call that a gray Mazda pickup had hit a car near the intersection at about 2:25 p.m. Monday. A vehicle matching the description and reported damage was found behind a Locust Street address and the resident, 49-year-old Ron Bushong, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of the Mazda's keys. He admitted to being involved in an accident and was concerned that his actions had possibly hurt someone. He was arrested for DWI and leaving the scene of an accident.

5. Forgery at 400 block of Second Avenue. A 26-year-old woman reported that her sister, 30-year-old Aisha Lynette Winston, had forged her name on a $17,376 EDUCAP Inc. student loan in March of 2006. Aisha Winston never made any payments and the loan is in default. Aisha Winston's whereabouts were unknown, the sister told police.

6. Theft of property/identity theft at 850 Oak St. (Walgreen's Pharmacy). A 37-year-old Conway woman reported that she had subscribed to LifeLock, an identity theft protection service. LifeLock advised the woman to make copies of all her important documents and credit cards. She did as advised, creating a folder containing copies of her driver's license, marriage certificate, Cigna Health Care card, American Express card, Visa card, Wal-Mart charge card, Kohl's charge card, Arkansas Federal Credit Union check card, Metropolitan National Bank card, three State Farm Insurance cards, social security card and a voided check. With her identity thus secured, she proceeded to misplace and lose the folder while shopping at Walgreen's Monday.

7. Criminal mischief at 100 block of Vine Street. A resident reported Thursday that the outgoing mail flag had been torn off of his mailbox.
