The Chicago Bears have waived former Arkansas wide receiver Marcus Monk, the last player the team selected in the 2008 NFL Draft.
The Bears made the announcement on their Web site, noting Monk caught only one pass for 14 yards in two preseason games. Monk was a seventh-round draft pick for the Bears.
Monk suffered through an injury-plagued senior season at Arkansas last year. Though the school's career leader in touchdown catches, Monk caught only 16 passes after hurting his knee in fall practice.
