Among reports recently generated by local law enforcement agencies:

1. Third degree battery at Court Street. A West Helena woman reported that a Spanish-speaking man attacked her at about 8 p.m. Monday. The woman told police that she was walking to the Conway Police Department to ask where the nearest Greyhound bus stop was, when the man approached her. She said the man slapped her and tore her clothing, but she was not seriously injured.

2. Theft of property at 2300 block of West Street. A man reported Monday evening that his boat had been stolen from his yard. It is described as a 14-foot flatbottom with camouflage paint, a black and gray interior and a 25-horsepower engine.

3. Residential burglary at 200 block of Mill Pond Road. Someone broke into a home Monday and stole a Aquos 46-inch TV, a Canon Sure Shot digital camera, Canon digital video camera, Sony Playstation 3 game console and games and $6,000 worth of jewelry.

4. Shoplifting at 1155 Skyline Drive (Wal-Mart). A Wal-Mart loss prevention officer stopped a 16-year-old trying to leave with more than $400 worth of unpaid-for goods. The young man told police that neither he nor his mother had money for groceries or hygiene items. All of the items except a set of headphones were necessities.

5. Theft of property at 300 South Donaghey (Fox Run Apartments). A tenant reported that his bicycle was stolen Sunday night. The bicycle is described as blue with whitewall tires and duct tape around the handle bars.

6. Dog attack at 800 block of Nutter Chapel Road. A woman reported that she was walking two Shih Tzu dogs Monday evening when a pair of pit bulls jumped from a passing gold-colored pickup truck and attacked her small dogs, seriously injuring one. The dogs did not bite the woman.

7. Harassment at 100 block of Meadowbrook Drive. A 15-year-old man told police that someone vandalized his home and motor scooter late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. The vandals used saran wrap, baby powder and sardines on the scooter and plastic forks, kitty litter and toilet paper on the yard.

8. Property damage at 1100 block of Trillium Drive. A man reported to police Sunday that his yard is being routinely damaged by a housecat.

I live in Pine Bluff  and I have to agree Conway doesn't have a crime problem , half of the crime that is reported in Pine Bluff never mkes the news any how and most crime doesn't get reported  but there are still some good people in P.B. .
