Arkansas Razorback defensive end Marcus Harrison was arrested early Saturday morning on felony drug charges and misdemeanor traffic violations. The 23-year-old senior was arrested by Fayetteville police and booked after 3:00 am. As of Saturday afternoon, Harrison was still being held on charges of possession of a controlled substance, speeding, driving with a restricted driver's license and not wearing a seat belt.
The Washington Coutny Jail also showed Harrison charged with failure to appear.

Head Coach Houston Nutt issued this statement on Harrison:
“Marcus Harrison has been suspended indefinitely from our football team for a violation of team rules. He will not play in the season opener against Troy and could face further disciplinary measures within the program after the facts are reviewed. I am deeply disappointed that any student-athlete would put himself and his team in the position of losing a senior starter due to off-the-field conduct. We will await the legal process and review his status in the coming weeks.”
