Clinton Campaign Returns to Arkansas
posted 5:58 pm Mon August 20, 2007 - Little Rock
The Democratic presidential front-runner--and former First Lady of Arkansas--is back in the Natural State.
Senator Hillary Clinton spent Monday campaigning across Arkansas, including stops in Fayetteville and Little Rock.
She also attended a late-afternoon fundraiser at the Little Rock Zoo.
At the State Capitol Monday afternoon, Governor Mike Beebe formally announced his endorsement of Senator Clinton, calling her the candidate with the most experience--and the one who knows Arkansas best.
A poll released last Friday shows Senator Clinton carrying Arkansas by double-digit margins over any of the Republican challengers.
Clinton is scheduled to attend another fundraiser at a private home in Little Rock Monday evening. Tickets to that event are $1,000 per person.
