Riceland Confirms Flash Fire, Injury at Plant

Riceland Vice President Bill Reed says the fire early Tuesday caused first- and second-degree burns to 30-year-old Henry Gale Brown of Jonesboro. Reed says Brown is hospitalized in Memphis, but is expected to be released in a few days.
Reed says the fire began when power was restored after an outage. He says the equipment where Brown was working became clogged and caused the fire.
The plant was shut down for about 20 hours after the fire.
Waldenburg is in Poinsett County about 30 mile south of Jonesboro.
