One of six Miller County jail escapees continues to elude authorities.
The sheriff's office says deputies are still looking for 23-year-old Bennie Ray Johnson of Bradley. Before his escape Tuesday, Johnson was in jail on charges of aggravated robbery and second-degree battery.
Thirty-year-old Anthony Michael Brown of Texarkana, Texas, was arrested Saturday after a brief chase in Wake Village, Texas. After his arrest, Brown waived extradition and was returned to Arkansas.
Deputies on Wednesday captured three escapees. Victor Threadgill also escaped Tuesday but was caught in the jail yard. Threadgill recently pleaded guilty to murdering an Ashdown car salesman and is awaiting transfer to a state prison.
Officials believe a guard snuck a hacksaw inside the jail at the request of inmates. Jail guards on duty the night the six escaped will be questioned by deputies, officials say.
