A four-hour manhunt in Jefferson County Thursday has ended with the suspect being taken into custody.
Shortly after 12:00 p.m., the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, along with Pine Bluff and White Hall police, began searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted burglary. Authorities say the search began after police attempted to pull over the suspect’s vehicle, and the driver of the car fled into the nearby woods.
Police narrowed their search to an area near the Pine Bluff Industrial Park on the northern side of the city. Search dogs with the Arkansas Department of Correction were also brought in to assist.
Police have not released the suspect’s name.
