Governor Beebe says a task force will study ways to help troops adjust to life at home when they return to the
state.
Beebe announced Thursday that he's forming the Arkansas Yellow Ribbon Taskforce to recommend ways the state can improve its support of troops when they return from the battlefield. Beebe announced the panel in his weekly column and radio address.
The panel's members will include George Westmoreland, who serves as the state's civilian aide to the secretary of the Army, Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs Director David Fletcher and Major General William D. Wofford, adjutant general of the Arkansas National Guard.
Beebe's spokesman said the governor will announce other appointments to the panel later.
