When she was ten-years-old, Elena Mitchell helped her mother bake cakes while growing up in Mexico City--but she never thought her baking skills would turn into a full-time business here in Arkansas.

And, after meeting her husband in Mexico and moving to Arkansas, Mitchell is still making cakes--but not just any cakes. They are some of the most unique, creative, one-of-a-kind cakes you'll probably ever see.

But, the owner of Elena's Cakes says what really sets her sweet creations apart from others is the taste.

And actually those are Mexican ingredients, and they're always fresh--they are never frozen--and they are custom made just for the customer that is ordering the cake.”

And, even if the order is for a traditional-looking wedding cake, Elena's Mexican roots offer customers a south-of-the-border taste and feel in each and every frosting-covered cake.

(Mitchell) “What I enjoy the most is when I see the smile on the people. That they get so happy with my cakes. Not only the taste, but the presentation of the cakes.”
