Little Rock - The Arkansas Supreme Court says it won't revive a civil suit by a Little Rock man who claims that he was molested by a former scoutmaster more than three decades ago.
Justices on Thursday upheld a Pulaski County judge's 2007 decision to dismiss a suit Paul Barre filed against Charles "Chick" Hoffman Jr., the Boy Scouts of America and Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church.
Barre said he didn't remember the abuse he blamed on Hoffman until 2003, after a therapist helped him remember the repressed memory of being molested by Hoffman at a Scout camp in 1976 and 1977.
Hoffman denied abusing Barre in a deposition, but admitted to molesting at least 10 other boys when he led Troop 27 at Holy Souls Church in the mid-1970s.
