Harrisburg - An Alabama-based shipping company that has a plant in Jonesboro is expanding into Harrisburg and plans to add about 200 jobs.
Poinsett County Judge Charles Nix and Harrisburg Mayor Donnie Faulkner say Rusken Packaging will move into the closed American Greetings factory and hire 50 employees within three months.
Nix says the company is based in Cullman, Ala. and is involved in custom shipping and gift wrapping boxes.
Faulkner says the city will provide $75,000 in incentives to the company for the first 50 employees and $1,000 for each person hired afterwards.
Nix says the average salary will be $12 to $15 per hour.
