Marianna - The murder trial for a man accused of killing the Marianna fire chief has been moved to St. Francis County.
Circuit Court Judge L.T. Simes granted a change of venue for the capital murder trial of Steve Amos. Amos is accused in the December 2007 shooting death of 43-year-old Charles "Chuck" Boone, the fire chief for Marianna and Lee County.
Police say Amos allegedly shot Boone because Boone was dating Amos' estranged wife.
The defense requested the change of venue because of pretrial publicity.
