Little Rock - Novelist Alan Furst, known for his intricate espionage novels of Europe during World War II, is to speak and sign books at the Clinton School of Public Service.
The event begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Sturgis Hall. Seats can be reserved through the Clinton School's Web site.
Furst is regarded as a master of his genre. His books generally center on less well known episodes of the war, and he builds characters that show how citizens, soldiers and spies are drawn into events.
The Clinton School is asking people who attend events at the campus through Friday to bring a box of cereal to support the Arkansas Foodbank Network.
