Little Rock - Arkansas State Police say an overturned tractor trailer filled with hogs on Interstate 430 closed a stretch of the highway connecting Little Rock to North Little Rock Monday.
State Police spokesman Bill Sadler says the crash happened at 3:30 a.m. Sadler says troopers had to detour commuters heading both north and south while the hogs were rounded up.
About 50 of the hogs were put in a pen on the west side of the interstate close to the exchange. About 90 hogs were in the trailer when it overturned.
The huge swine could weigh as much as 800 pounds a piece.
