Jonesboro - A second former Bono law officer has been convicted of having sex with the same underage girl.
Circuit Judge Lee Fergus on Monday sentenced 60-year-old James "Jim" Raymond Matha of Jonesboro, to three years of probation for fourth-degree sexual assault.
Former Bono police chief Ricky D. Duhon was sentenced in 2006 to six years in prison after he was convicted of first-degree sexual assault with the same child.
Authorities said the girl was 16 when she was assaulted by Matha and 14 when assaulted by the chief. Matha was convicted of fourth-degree sexual assault, while Duhon was convicted of first-degree sexual assault.
Duhon has twice been denied parole, though prisons spokeswoman Dina Tyler says he could come up for possible parole in October.
